Getting to the Cottage

  • Fullers and Island Direct operate foot ferry services between Auckland and Waiheke Island, arriving at Matiatia Ferry Terminal. Island Direct is a new, locally-run service that often offers promotional deals during holiday periods—keep an eye out for discounts!

  • Taxis are available from both ferry terminals. From Kennedy Point, please book a taxi in advance. We recommend confirming a fare before starting the trip, as fares can vary.

I recommend pre booking your transport needs with Kat from Ride Waiheke. Call her on 02108813039. She offers a fixed $40 from the ferry to the cottage.

  • If you’re bringing a car, take the Sealink ferry to Kennedy Point. Once on Waiheke Island, use Google Maps to navigate to 383 Sea View Road. The driveway has ample parking for your convenience.

  • From Matiatia Ferry Terminal, take the 50A bus to Onetangi (Seventh Ave). Get off at the final stop, Seventh Ave/The Strand. Walk inland on Seventh Ave, then continue either up the road or via the signposted stairs. Note: If you have luggage, the stairs may be challenging, so taking the road route may be easier.

At the top of Seventh Ave, turn right onto Sea View Road and walk 500m until you reach 383 Sea View Road, just after Te Makiri Rd on the left.
